He says it IS a Caterham 7 chassis, bare except for floor panels and tunnel, that he built himself from plans available from Caterham. [ although he didn't seem to know which type of chassis - long cockpit, etc. ]. Can anyone verify that Caterham supply plans of the chassis? Never heard of such before, and sounds rather odd.

The chassis shown here is so equipped; the dropped floors are the black bits beneath the basic blue tub. "Wide" body: A.k.a. "SV" in Caterham-speak. Surely the best plan is to buy a chassis/body unit [CBU] and the relevant kits from Caterham, then put his existing bits into the car.
